Title: HVAC/Maintenance Engineer

Location: 7051 Eagle Boulevard Longmont CO 80504

Duration: 12 months on W2

Rate: $27/hr

Summary:

The HVAC Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, and equipment, with a focus on commercial and industrial HVAC systems and industrial chillers. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in commercial and industrial HVAC maintenance, including experience with industrial chillers. This position requires advanced skills in HVAC maintenance, as well as proficiency in plumbing, basic electrical work, fire system maintenance, and general building maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, and equipment, with a focus on HVAC systems and industrial chillers.

  • Monitor building system operations and performance, utilizing several trade skills including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.

  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.

  • Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure equipment operation is within design capabilities and achieves prescribed environmental conditions.

  • Oversee and inspect work performed by outside contractors, including landscaping, snow removal, remodelling, and cleaning.

  • Estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs, and order necessary materials and supplies.

  • Maintain an energy management program to ensure efficient operation of all systems and minimize operating costs.

  • Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.

  • Provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers.

  • May coordinate work and assign tasks as needed.

Must Haves Skills:

  • 5 years of experience in commercial and industrial HVAC maintenance

  • Experience with industrial chillers.

  • Universal CFC certification

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Additional certification in electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair

Nice To Have:

  • 2 years of experience in manufacturing facilities or data centers

  • GDP experience

Education & Experience:

  • Universal EPA license preferred.

  • Certifications/licenses as required by local or state jurisdictions.

  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, write routine reports, and respond to common inquiries.

  • Basic knowledge of financial terms and principles

  • Intermediate analytical skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook

  • Experience using computer systems for work order management, email, ESS, and training.
