What will you be doing in this role?
The Anesthesia Tech I are an integral member of the anesthesia patient care team and will operate under the general direction of the Anesthesiology Team Lead. The role is to assist the licensed anesthesia provider in the acquisition, preparation and application of equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia.
The role, commits to customer service and an ability to meet the needs and expectations of healthcare colleagues and patients, adapts well and flexible to changing situations, and demonstrates effective communication and teamwork skills.
You will provide support in anesthesia for routine and complex surgical cases by preparing and maintaining patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia, and cleaning, sterilizing, disinfecting, stocking, ordering and maintaining the routine anesthesia equipment and supplies.
High School Diploma/GED
Experience as an Anesthesia Tech in a Healthcare environment.
Certified as an Anesthesia Tech by the American Society of Anesthesia Technician and Technologist (ASATT) highly preferred.
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC).
