Description
The Department of Medicine is seeking a skilled Dietitian Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional nutritional care to patients across a diverse range of disease states and conditions. Your expertise will be crucial as you monitor, assess, and optimize nutrition status based on individual medical conditions and nutritional adequacy. Collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals, you will coordinate medical and nutritional needs, offering recommendations for specialized feeding methods such as tube and intravenous feedings, as well as dietary supplements when necessary. Beyond clinical care, you leadership will guide patients to make informed, nutritionally sound food choices that accelerate recovery, prevent disease, and foster a healthy lifestyle. Additionally, you may have the opportunity to manage programs within the department, contributing to the formulation of strategies and the administration of policies, processes, and resources. Annual range: $71,500-$154,900
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Must be a Licensed Registered Dietitian
In-depth knowledge associated with providing evaluation, assessment, and nutritional therapy services within specialty area(s).
In-depth knowledge of applicable laws, internal policies, and standards of professional conduct.
Knowledge of medical center and UC policies and processes.
Knowledge and skills to recommend improvements to nutritional services and consult on quality improvement.
Excellent skills in working effectively on a team and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary care team.
Advanced skills in teaching and mentoring.
Advanced interpersonal and communications skills.
Knowledge of electronic medical record systems and software used in functional area
