Cedars-Sinai Obstetrics & Gynecology - Family Planning Clinical Faculty in Los Angeles, California

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking candidates for a faculty position in Family Planning. This position, a full-time physician within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is a staff appointment and reports to the Chair (or designee), Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Duties include provision of direct patient care, clinical research, supervision of Residents and Medical Students and the administrative duties as required. The incumbent interfaces with Nursing, Medical Staff, Support Staff and Administration.

Observes Medical Center policies & procedures such as dress code, etc. Protects the safety of others and of the physical plant and equipment. Follows Medical Center policies & procedures.

Demonstrates knowledge of the National Patient Safety Goals. Applies each National Patient Safety Goal as it relates to his/her own job responsibilities. Demonstrates knowledge of the Medical Center’s Patient Safety program and plan. Can describe the Medical Center’s Significant Adverse Event process. Demonstrates understanding and utilizes the chain of command as it relates to his/her own job. Demonstrates understanding of the Medical Center’s Culture of Safety. Our compensation philosophy:

We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range provided takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package that may be applicable to this role.

Pay Range: $316,000 - $500,

  1. Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Medical Degree from accredited medical school.

  • Board Certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

  • Unrestricted California License as Physician

  • CSMC Medical Staff Membership

  • Eligible for recommendation to the appropriate academic rank at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

  • A published author of peer reviewed articles, with ability to serve as principal or co-investigator.

  • A track record of excellence in teaching, patient care and administration comparable operating system that sufficiently provides for access to patient and other business information.
