We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Consultant specializing in Oracle Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and Grants Management within the higher education sector. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in managing complex projects and grants within academic institutions, coupled with a strong understanding of organizational processes and compliance requirements.

Work you'll do

  • Assist with the development, implementation, and optimization of PPM frameworks tailored to the unique needs of higher education institutions

  • Provide guidance on project selection, prioritization, and resource allocation to ensure alignment with institutional goals and objectives

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on PPM and grants management, providing training, mentorship, and technical support to internal stakeholders

  • Recommend process enhancements, technological solutions, and workflow optimizations to streamline operations and maximize efficiency

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, fostering innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across the organization

Practitioners deliver "heart of the business" projects and work closely with client leaders in finance, logistics, manufacturing, shop floor, scheduling, engineering and design, IT, and project management. Teams assess current business processes and capabilities as part of digital transformation initiatives and support strategic priorities across clients' enterprises.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role

  • Ability to travel 5-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in project management, grants administration, or consulting, preferably in higher education

  • Demonstrated expertise in Oracle Project Portfolio management methodologies and Grants lifecycle management

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations

Preferred:

  • Prior professional services or Higher Education consulting experience

  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives

  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience

  • Project and task management skills to structure/prioritize actions and develop high quality work products and deliverables on time

This compensation range is specific to California, and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,325-$188,875.
