Eaton Corporation Planner in Los Angeles, California

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Planner. This position is based at our Los Angeles, California facility (near Glendale metro). The LA facility has approximately 300 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $75037.5 - $110055.0 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you’ll do:

The Planner performs diversified duties related to MRP planning, scheduling, and expediting components in order to support strategic inventory goals and to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders while maintaining assigned inventory levels. Plans and coordinates future requirements through analysis and interpretation of current production status. Manages and directs priorities for the shop floor for a given product group while supporting the team and plant goals.

In this function you will:

  • Initiates required documentation and / or system transactions to allocate, purchase, internally manufacture or reschedule material as required.

  • Plan and release work orders as required to meet customer orders while maintaining optimum lead time and inventory level.

  • Track critical items through SAP system to ensure revenue plan is met.

  • Proactively identifies and reports potential problems which will result in not meeting deadlines, or which may result in potential quality problems.

  • Performs clerical duties necessary to maintain work order WIP accuracy.

  • Coordinate the return and replacement of defective materials to the supplier, and expediting the material back into the manufacturing process.

  • Provides daily written reports on the status of parts.

  • Drives shortage meetings with a cross functional team and expedites material where required to meet shortfall between current plan and customer order requirements.

  • Balances current and future demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities / capacities to ensure on-time completion of customer requirements.

  • Analyzes and manages inventory levels in relation to customer requirements to meet profit and inventory targets and goals.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area (50 miles of 90039) will be considered for this position.

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with a MRP system in manufacturing, operations, or logistics environment.

  • Strong PC skills, especially in MS Excel

  • Program Management experience is a plus.

  • Great written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Knowledge of MRO business is highly desired.
