Primary duties of the Staff Research Associate include technical and administrative tasks that support smooth and orderly operation of the lab. Technical tasks include wet bench experiments including but not limited to human pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) generation, maintenance, pluripotency test, and quality control. Specific research techniques include PCR, immunohistochemistry, gene expression analyses (qPCR), transfectable virus generation & handling, sequencing library preparations, Western blotting, cloning, gel electrophoresis, tissue culture, media preparation and general upkeep of reagents & equipment. Administrative tasks include maintaining the various permits and certifications for the lab, ordering, logging data, filing, and distributing research materials to the clients.

Will hire at the I or II level based on experience.

Staff Research Associate II Hourly Salary Range: $28.04 - $45.11

Staff Research Associate I Hourly Salary Range: $25.75 - $30.71Qualifications

Required:

• Skilled in precise and consistent technical maneuvers.

• Successfully develops and implements new laboratory procedures.

• Effective communicator, engaging with diverse educational and technical backgrounds.

• Collaborative team player, excelling in both lab and interdisciplinary settings.

• Strong organizational skills, adept at prioritizing assignments and adapting to changes.

Preferred:

• Holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or related fields or equivalent experience.

• Previous lab experience, demonstrating practical knowledge and familiarity with lab operations.
