Discover Impactful Work:

The Maintenance Engineering Planner is responsible for asset and spares management, preventative maintenance planning and machine history data.

They are the gate keep and site leader for the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) software and are required to extract information from it to support the Sites Engineering manager.

A day in the Life:

  • Review and plan all internal/external Planned Preventative Maintenance and Reactive/Corrective works, for day to day operations and shut down periods/weekends.

  • Act as the “Gate-Keeper” for the Sites CMMS Database, including management of the CMMS records and its database ensuring all information is up to date.

  • Update the Engineering Departments critical metrics to control and measure PM completion rate to plan / Schedule consistency to weekly plan / PM backlog / Safety incident close out rate.

  • Allocate jobs for mechanical and electrical engineers using CMMS.

  • Assist in the operation of the site Permit to work system on a day to day basis, supported by the Engineering and HSE Managers on site.

Keys to Success:

Experience

  • Maintenance Engineering Planner on a COMAH Site, with a detailed understanding of regulations applicable to a COMAH Site.

  • Has previously been a Maintenance Engineer or worked in an Engineering environment and understands Asset Life Cycle

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Basic Qualifications

  • Time Served Apprentice

  • Experience in Planning and Auditing CMMS either in similar role OR as a Hands on Maintenance Engineer

  • Experience in using Microsoft Excel, PowerBI and CMMS Software (We use Mainsaver)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of ISO 55001, and Asset Management best practive

  • Able to read and articulate Fail Mode Effects Critical Analysis, and input actions into CMMS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering related field.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Chemical Environment

  • Able to conduct both Desk and "Go-Look-See" work.
