Job#: 2042280Job Description:Apex Systems is seeking a qualified Financial Reporting Professional for an exciting contract role in the Louisville, KY areaDescription:Hybrid - 2 days onsite Tuesday and WednesdayThe Financial Reporting Professional 2 prepares and distributes periodic financial statements for users other than those directly employed by the organization. The Financial Reporting Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.The Financial Reporting Professional 2 ensures all reports and disclosures comply with applicable government regulations, professional standards and organization policies. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.* As part of Apexs client Medicaid expansion, the Financial Reporting Professional 2 will have a direct impact to support the external reporting functions for this product for various states. Work assignments are of moderately to difficult complexity, including data consolidation, preparation, reconciliation, and submission of reporting. In addition, this role will assist with data analysis supporting internal and external needs to various data partners, utilizing SQL, Python, or other data retrieval and processing tools as required.* This role is a great opportunity to learn about a complex product, while working closely with a supportive team. We are looking for an energetic, curious, and positive individual who can collaborate with team members and the internal departments at our client that we support.Required Qualifications* Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance* Less than 5 years of financial accounting/reporting experience* Experience with Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel, Word, PowerPoint* Experience with financial reporting and/or data analysisPreferred Qualifications* Previous health insurance industry experience working in Finance/Accounting* Previous experience in working with large data sets, querying, or consolidation of results for reporting; exposure to SQL or querying tools* Strong verbal and written communication skillsAdditional InformationRemote KY or IN; this position is essentially a Hybrid Home position, requiring two days in the office each week in Louisville, KY.EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
