Job Description
BAE Systems is currently seeking a Material Planner to join our Combat Mission Systems team.
Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule, and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production
Develop raw material requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production
Utilize material requirements planning (MRP) systems
May negotiate lead times with suppliers and manage schedules for timely delivery
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor s Degree with 2 years of relevant experience OR equivalent education with experience
Proficient educational development and technical training in production management, inventory control, production scheduling, or related areas
Working knowledge and practical understanding of a materials management system
Ability to gather and analyze detailed data, summarize and utilize problems, and measure performance
Ability to explain and service internal and external customers on the rationale for adjusting schedules, plans, and processes
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
APICS or CPIM Certification
Oracle
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $58300 - $99100
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
