Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, at least 4 years of relevant experience, and preferably a background in Big 4 Audit. This individual will play a key role in managing the financial activities of our property management operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations related to property management, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.

  • Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements, variance reports, and budget forecasts for multiple properties.

  • Coordinate with property managers to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and adherence to budgetary guidelines.

  • Assist in the annual budgeting process and provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

  • Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures, including reconciliation of accounts and preparation of journal entries.

  • Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation and support.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.

  • Stay updated on accounting regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance and mitigate financial risks.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate accounting

  • Previous experience with a Big 4 Audit firm is highly desirable.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.
