Position Description:

Manages a unit within a department. Plans, organizes and develops goals and procedures for the unit. Represent the unit to administrators, outside agencies and others on relevant matters. Supervises subordinate staff.

Major/Essential Functions:

Lead School Certifying Official for the Texas Hazlewood Exemption education benefits. Train and supervise up to five student workers by ensuring all State benefit applications are processed correctly and per the TVC and Texas Tech Institutional policies.

Overseas the Hazlewood exemption billing and TVC reconciliation each semester to ensure accurate reporting to the Texas Veterans Commission.

Assist in supporting the MVP department's strategic efforts and community resources to holistically support their needs to provide a positive student experience that promotes academic, personal, and professional success.

Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related filed. Three years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job-related education may be substituted for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
