CraneAerospace & Electronics in Lynnwood, WA is seeking to hire a Data Engineer to bring creativity, fresh thinking and next generation ideas to our highly collaborative, multi-site global team of Information Technology Professionals.

Position Overview:

The Data Engineercontributes to the overall product architecture strategy through analysis, design and creation for the enterprise environment. The Data Engineer performs detailed analysis of business processes to define architecture requirements. The Data Engineer works closely with a global team and participates in customer discussions on regular basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing and developing end to end data and analytics solutions

  • Assist in performing POCs using Azure Data Platform

  • Set up relevant Azure services related to data and analytics

  • Integrate multiple Azure services to deliver analytics solution

  • Develop, Test and Maintain SQL queries and stored procedures

  • Report development

  • Provide production support to data solutions

  • Flexible to understand, learn and implement new technologies

  • Help business and project teams on implementing best practices for Data and Analytics

Experience:

  • 1- 2 years of demonstrated experience delivering multiple data solutions

  • 1- 2 years of demonstrated experience with ETL development - both on-premise and in the cloud

  • 1- 2 years of demonstrated experience with report development using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik

  • Experience with SSIS, azure data factory and MSBI stack

  • Experience with skills in Azure SQL server/DB, Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Bricks, Python/Scala, HDInsight, logic apps

  • Troubleshoot code quickly and efficiently for high impact issues

Must Have Skills:

  • Azure SQL database/SQL server/T-SQL

  • Azure Data Factory V2

  • Azure Data Lake Storage V2

  • Azure Blob storage

  • Power BI or similar tools

  • Data warehouse with dimensional modelling

  • Scripting skills with Python/Scala

Preferred Skills:

  • Develop Power BI reports and dashboards

  • Python or other scripting skills

  • Experience with Azure DevOps

  • REST APIs, PowerShell, Azure Functions, Logic Apps

  • Azure Databricks, HDInsight

  • Azure Synapse

Employment Eligibility Requirement

  • This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, heel straps, and shop coats

  • Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed.
