Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - Pressure Sensors to bring creativity, fresh thinking and new ideas to our highly collaborativeSensing Components & Systems Team in Lynnwood, WA.
The Electrical Engineer III - Pressure Sensors plays a significant role in the development of Crane Aerospace & Electronics’ products. This includes leading a team of engineers to drive results in performance and schedule, providing coaching and mentorship, managing customer communications, performing complex analytical, computational, conceptual, and coordination work in the electrical engineering discipline. The Senior Electrical Engineer interfaces with virtually every team involved in the product/program lifecycle process.
This position involves developing proposals, design and development, testing and calibration, and manufacturing sustaining for our pressure sensing technologies. A background in microelectronics packaging in harsh environments is desired for this role.
The Crane Aerospace and Electronics Sensing and Power Systems group is an ideal place for an Electrical Engineer who desires to work in a wide variety of technologies, from high power electronics to microelectronics. The Sensing and Power Systems group provides highly engineered electronic systems and components for all aircraft OEM’s, all designed by an experienced and dedicated engineering group, and manufactured on site in Lynnwood Washington.
The ideal candidate will be able to lead a group of diverse engineering disciplines to meet all product technical requirements and design goals, project budgets, and schedules. The candidate will possess the skill to design, document, and test a variety of electronic designs as listed below, and in the process mentor less experienced engineers. The candidate will also be able to represent the Sensing and Power Systems group in communications with customers, suppliers, and other organizations within Crane Aerospace and Electronics.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Produce thorough and accurate design and development work of considerable complexity that meets all customer specifications and company requirements for schedule, cost, producibility, quality, and reliability
Lead project team for portions of, or a complete project, which involves directing the work of others within the project team and driving the team to achieve results
Responsible for technical interface with the customer for problems or issues relating to design activity within the area of design/development responsibility
Analyze design requirements and objectives, define optimum design criteria and approach, design system or component elements
Prepare schedules and cost estimates on the engineering efforts required
Direct functional, acceptance, qualification, or development testing on new or modified designs
Prepare or direct the preparation of documentation such as schematics, drawings, software documents, parts lists, test procedures, instructional materials and other related information relevant to the project
Interface as required with other disciplines including marketing, manufacturing, quality assurance, purchasing, customers as required to exchange information, resolve problems, and otherwise to achieve assignment
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required. Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is highly desirable.
- Five (5) or more years relevant work experience
Demonstrates mastery in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures

Familiar with DO-160 Requirements
Design for EMC and Lightning
Analysis & Modeling
Statistical Data Analysis
