JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: This position provides primary leadership for program planning, operations, implementation, evaluation, and/or supervision/delegation of research-specific high level administrative duties as it pertains to multi-site clinical research networks for rare and very early brain diseases. Promotes stable and productive relationships between the university, community, collaborating institutions, departments and centers. Duties will include: - Serves the multi-site research program, providing point of contact support to participating sites. - Problem solving study-wide obstacles in order to facilitate participant enrollment. - Develops and refines methods to track nation-wide enrollment, including weekly calls to site coordinators to motivate enrollment, new recruitment activity, and action items to meet enrollment deadlines. - Assists in the development, coordination, and facilitation of training staff on protocol procedures and administration. - Assists in the development, coordination, and facilitation of workshops for internal and external audiences to disseminate study information. - Participates in professional organizational meetings or site visits that may assist with recruitment and retention of research participants. Dr. Paulsen\'s research program supports research in rare forms of very early cognitive decline and dementia (i.e., CADASIL, Huntington\'s disease). Our research studies help develop and refine the tools that can be used in clinical trials to measure the effectiveness of treatment before the disease impacts daily life. We seek to develop measures, methods and models of disease onset and progression that facilitate interventions and treatment programs throughout the lifecourse of disease from being healthy and living at risk to managing early brain dysfunction and mild cognitive declines, to preparing for disease progression with loss of control over emotional, organizational, motor, and cognitive processes.
