Aircraft Transitions Engineer

We are looking for an Aircraft Transitions Engineer to join our CAE Parc Airline Technical Services Department. Your primary responsibilities will involve upholding the airworthiness, reliability, and safety standards across our different projects. You will also work towards streamlining maintenance operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory mandates. Your role will entail project assignments across our department, where you will be dedicated to delivering efficient and tailored solutions for each of our valued clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Technical support during aircraft transitions, deliveries and re-deliveries, ensuring compliance with airworthiness and lease contractual requirements.

  • Project management with special attention to maintenance event planning and timing considerations.

  • Responsible of control of a comprehensive discrepancy list.

  • Update and distribution of actions as required.

  • Coordination of pre-redelivery actions with the involved stakeholders.

  • Leverage your aviation experience and industry network to contribute significantly to our team.

  • Executing various projects simultaneously as assigned by the Fleet Technical Management Leader.

    Skills and Qualifications

  • Robust technical aviation background, gained through hands-on roles in airlines, aircraft lessors, manufacturers, or maintenance organisations.

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Airbus and Boeing fleets.

  • Good knowledge of the applicable EASA/FAA Regulatory Requirements.

  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of Aircraft Records, maintenance documentation, and aircraft maintenance philosophies, including heavy checks on aircraft and landing gear and engines Shop Visits.

  • English fluency is essential, both written and spoken.

  • Ability to simplify complex processes, write procedures and work under pressure.

    Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Show expertise in the complete aircraft lifecycle, from delivery and transitions to final disposition, including selling and part-out options.

  • Practical knowledge of Maintenance Information Systems (MIS) such as AMOS or Trax is an asset.

  • Exhibit a profound understanding of Aircraft Lease Agreements, including maintenance reserves and end-of-lease adjustments.

  • Self-motivated and efficient either individually or as part of a team.

  • Proven organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities at one time and make decisions in a busy, fast-paced environment.

  • Willing to travel when required.
