JOIN THE TEAM
The Product Customer Facing Data Services builds and operates customer facing consumable business data services (sales and product data, PCF and other properties…) according to BU requirements.
You will be responsible for back and front developments as part of a DevOps team, according to internal backlog distributions. The team develops applications which are used in a shared way by both BASF and our external customers.
You will be delivering both Intranet and Internet applications to improve BASF’s services towards our customers.
You will be working in an agile and self-organized way. You not only consider development of new applications but also operations and maintenance as a valuable part of your daily work.
You are part of a dedicated team, which has built itself a platform to efficiently develop, maintain and enhance their delivered applications. Part of your daily job will be to drive the future development and innovation of this platform with regards to user requirement according to modern coding, security and tool standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Easy to use and versatile data services for various customer facing offerings (web shops, enterprise, and custom web pages, …) in close co-operation with different product within the segment Digitalization of Businesses.
Translate BASF internal data semantics to fulfil requirements connecting to external data ecosystems together with respective product families (e.g., EHS & Master Data) ensuring data confidentiality and sovereignty for BASF
QUALIFICATIONS
You have a degree or a comparable education in the field of computer and information science. You have already acquired professional experience in an IT environment.
You have been working with backend IT technologies Java 8+, Spring, Spring Boot. In-depth knowledge of oAuth2, Maven, PostgreSQL, JPA / Hibernate, REST APIs, Microservices and developing cloud-native applications (MS Azure) is required.
You should have at least basic experience with regards to oAuth2, npm, Bootstrap, HighCharts and DevExtreme, as well as Docker and Kubernetes, CI/CD automation, Terraform, Azure DevOps
Can understand the requirements and analyze the scenarios, implement prototype, develop software, write TDDs, create test automation, integrate app into deployment pipeline, build and deploy the application and perform DevOps
Quality focused practitioner of clean code approaches. Scalable and portable development oriented
NICE TO HAVE
Experience in blockchain technology development, including smart contracts and decentralized applications (DApps)
Designed and implemented secure and scalable blockchain solutions and systems.
Some experience with IT technologies Angular (2+), TypeScript, JavaScript, NGRX. In depth knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, REST API (JSON) is required.
Experience in agile/scrum/scaled-agile practices.
Experienced and willingness to mentor, coach and guide junior colleagues
