Abbott Sales Director - Nutrition in Maidenhead, United Kingdom

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior leader to join the reimbursed Nutrition team as Sales Director, responsible for maximizing the division’s sales and margin, achieving national market share targets across core adult, infant and paediatric markets, through superb leadership of the regional management team.

Reporting to the General Manager UK & Ireland, in this national role you will:

  • Deliver sales and margin goals for the division

  • Ensure volume growth in Abbott Contract areas

  • Achieve annual national market share targets

  • Recruit, retain and coach/develop people, motivating high performing teams

  • Manage budgets within agreed parameters, assist in forecasting and budget planning

  • Contribute to and delivering divisional strategic goals

  • Identify opportunities, supporting key accounts and customers, and driving the contracting process

  • Establish key relationships with industry/customer groups as well as Opinion leader development and liaison with key professional bodies

  • Monitor KPI’s and ensuring data warehousing utilised to provide full effort results capabilities

  • Assist in the identification of new product opportunities and ensuring suitable launch and activity strategies

  • Drive sales force effectiveness, omni channel activities etc. and assist marketing develop campaigns

  • Lead sales conferences and fully contribute to the Nutrition Leadership team

What you’ll need:

  • A degree

  • Prior sales management/sales director experience within healthcare (nutrition/pharma ideally)

  • Solid understanding of regulatory, medical and contracting functions

  • Ideally some prior experience within marketing

  • Strong analytical skills/commercial acumen, negotiating skills and will to win

  • Presentation skills
