Oracle Graduate Program –Associate Applications Engineer (PLM)

Division: Product Development

Locations: Makati, Philippines

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (onsite & WFH)

Start Date: June to July 2024

Schedule: Day shift

The Philippines Procurement development team consists of engineers and quality engineers for the Purchasing (PO) and Self-Service Procurement (SSP) products in the procurement line of business.

The Development team focuses on customer success to ensure that our PO & SSP products provide the maximum value to our large customer base of multinational companies.

Responsibilities

The Philippine team works closely with our India (IDC) and US sister teams to resolve product defects reported by our customers worldwide. This includes root cause analysis of issues and code fixes when required while ensuring no product regression / maximum quality of our product. The QA teams cover the full testing suite for procurement including release manual testing, bug fix testing, and automation scripts.

Key Objective:

  • Develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards

  • Design and build new features in the PLM for process product

  • Work in sustaining, including review of customer bugs, root cause identification, and code corrections (patch) to our customer base

What to Expect:

  • Work in the Development organization to implement Product Features

  • Collaborate with Product Management to capture customer requirements accurately

  • Responsible for the design of the product features

  • Implement and unit test new features.

  • Fix defects and work with QA to ensure the quality of the products.

  • Use source control management systems efficiently

  • Set up and configure other parts of the application suite and dev tools for their use

  • Exhibit professionalism in attitude, working relationships with colleagues, flexibility, and overall work ethic

  • Keep management and project manager informed through various effective communication channels such as emails

Who You Are:

  • 2024 Graduate with bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent.

  • Must be academically completed before onboarding dates.

  • No experience is required but Internship experience is an advantage.

  • Has basic Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and methodology

  • Has strong background with JAVA

  • Demonstrate knowledge of operating systems (Windows or Linux) and databases (SQL Server or Oracle).

  • Demonstrate good analytical skills for isolating issues.

  • A good grasp of Object-Oriented concepts is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Oracle and MSSQL databases is a plus.

  • Excellent communicator in both technical and non-technical contexts.
