About the role:

A systems architect designs and oversees the implementation of complex systems and infrastructure solutions for key markets. These professionals possess a deep understanding of both hardware and software components and work to ensure that the systems architecture aligns with the organization's strategic goals and market requirements.

A systems Architect translates requirements into technical specifications and designs architecture solutions that address functional and non-functional requirements. These professionals support the different Engineering departments and Engineering functions (SW,HW,ME) with excellent technically detailed system specifications during New Development Projects that are the baseline for the functional design teams.

A systems architect defines the architecture of a computerized system (i.e., a system composed of software and hardware) in order to fulfil market requirements.These professionalsare in charge of devising, developing and configuring both component products and networking systems for key markets.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Collaborate with different engineering departments, product management, business leaders, IT security teams, customers, and end-users, to gather requirements, assess existing systems, and develop architecture designs that meet current and future needs.

· Systems architects also research ways to make new products or services fit into the existing customer infrastructure.

· Decompose functional requirements into specifications for the different engineering disciplines (SW,HW,ME)

· The system architect objectively analyses desired processes and outcomes and advises on the right combination of IT systems and Hardware components to achieve specific business or functional goals.

· Develop architectural and design principles to optimize performance, capacity, and scalability of Notes, Coins and Cashless products.

· Work with the Cloud Engineers to align and coordinate hardware products to the online managed service products.

· Understand product vision and business needs across market segments and the customer base to define product requirements and product architectural solutions.

· Consult business management team to clarify objectives and functional requirements for new or modified products.

· Act as advisory role for Product Management on the MRD

· Analyze system requirements, assess technology options, and develop architecture designs that encompass hardware, software, networking, and data storage components. Ensure that architecture designs align with industry best practices, standards, and organizational goals.

· Develop a communication, service tool and connectivity strategy including APIs and protocol level communication solutions for complex systems part of a system architecture.

· Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Systems architects collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze system requirements. They work closely with engineering teams, product manager and internal and external customers to understand business needs, technical constraints, and user expectations. They translate requirements into technical specifications and design architecture solutions that address functional and non-functional requirements.

· Technology Evaluation and Selection: Systems architects evaluate technology options and make recommendations for technology selection based on organizational needs, budget constraints, and strategic goals. They assess the suitability of hardware and software components, evaluate vendor solutions, and make decisions regarding technology platforms, frameworks, and tools

· System Integration and Interoperability: Systems architects design architecture solutions that support system integration and interoperability. They develop architecture designs that enable seamless communication and data exchange between different systems, applications, and platforms. They ensure that architecture solutions are compatible with existing infrastructure and can accommodate future expansion and integration needs.

· Work with pre-sales and product management teams in solution demonstrations.

· Work with the discipline leads and systems engineers to ensure implementation of architecture framework and for conflict resolution.

· Before starting a project, a systems architect gathers client requirements coming from investors or business owners and examines users' behaviour descriptions provided by user experience specialists. They also consider limitations such as a budget, human resources, hardware, time and technical risks. They then choose the right technology to implement these requirements.

Qualifications and Required Skills

· Master degree in a field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering.

· Minimum of 10 years with the following experience:

• Systems architecture design

• Systems development/integration, preferably with electronic devices

• Interdisciplinary product development on complex products

• Expert in protocols and interfaces

• Solid understanding of hardware and mechanic engineering

• PCI Compliance or other applicable industry standards

• Multi-tasking and adherence to timelines

• Demonstrable strategic thinking abilities

• Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude

• Organizational and leadership skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Leadership and coaching

• Knowledge of the cash handling industry a plus
