Vanguard Technical Scrum Master in Malvern, Pennsylvania
Global Risk and Security (GR&S) at Vanguard enables business strategy, protects client and Vanguard interests (e.g., assets and data), and stewards a strong risk culture. Within GR&S, the Enterprise Security and Fraud (ES&F) sub-division is responsible for the global protection of Vanguard crew, property, data, and client assets. We are the trusted advisors that protect the pride of Vanguard with state-of-the-art security and fraud capabilities.
The Technical Scrum Master provides agile methodology services to cross-functional teams, demonstrating a understanding of the technology-related product(s) and associated business areas. This role applies technical expertise to improve productivity of teams and quality of work processes and outcomes.
Technical Scrum Master:
Provides insight on best practices for high performing teams in the delivery of technology-related product or projects, ensuring team actions are aligned with project goals.
Facilitates planning, team learning, and assists adaptation of processes to ensure the quality of team solutions.
Encourages a continuous learning environment to strengthen the team's understanding of Agile/Scrum concepts and principles as they relate to technical capabilities.
Applies methodology that supports the integration of changing customer inputs and business conditions into technology-related product development.
Works with product owners and management to define and prioritize technology-related outcomes. Identifies trade-offs between short and long term benefits to drive shared vision between the team and product owner.
Ensures the application of agile frameworks to the development process to increase effectiveness of technology-related product development or architecture.
Leads daily scrum meetings, iteration reviews, and maintains backlogs.
Identifies and may remove roadblocks to technology-related product development or architecture.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
What it takes:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Computer Science or Engineering experience preferred.
Minimum of three years related work experience. Two years of leading large cross-functional teams on major organizational technology projects preferred. Financial Services and technical experience preferred.
Scrum/Agile Certification strongly preferred.

- This is a hybrid role with Tues, Wed, Thurs in the office and Mon, Fri is remote.
