As the Program Director, you will lead key programs within this submarket, including the Trident Navigation Program, Gravity Systems, and the Precision Manufacturing portfolio (JDAM, Q70, JQ70, CSRR). These programs are critical to ensuring the success of national defense initiatives, particularly in the realm of strategic weapon systems.

THE WORK

In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day management of our Precision Navigation business, ensuring smooth program execution and alignment with overall strategic goals. This includes accountability for financials, growth strategy development, and program lifecycle management. You will also oversee a portfolio of programs that span multiple locations, including:

Trident Program: The sole-source provider of the Navigation System for the US and UK submarine fleets for over 60 years.

Gravity Systems: World-class sensors and systems developed in Niagara, NY for both commercial and defense applications.

Precision Manufacturing: Managing production and teams across JDAM, CSRR, JQ-70 – Japan Direct Commercial Sales and AN/UYQ-70 (Q70) NAVSUP Support and Q70 programs with core sites in Clearwater, FL, San Diego, CA and Virginia Beach, VA.

You will also play a crucial role in overseeing the new business pipeline, customer engagement, and the workforce strategy to meet evolving business needs.

Basic Qualifications:

• 10 or more years of Program/Project management experience

• Experience leading a large cross-functional program team, demonstrated talent management leadership, P/L leadership skills and business acumen

• Experience managing domestic and international customers/programs

• Demonstrated ability to drive closure and resolve complex programmatic issues/challenges.

• Experience leading large scale business initiatives to ensure orders, sales, EBIT and cash objectives are met

• Excellent communication and relationship building skills at all levels, with an ability to negotiate and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

• Must be able to obtain a TS-SCI clearance

• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (largely domestic – 30-40%).

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education; Advanced degree preferred

• U.S. Navy Customer Experience

• Experience with represented populations and collective bargaining agreements.

• Successful experience creating and executing a growth strategy for the business, including ownership of the full program lifecycle of execution, including business development and capture experience

• Effectively lead briefings and strategy meetings for senior/executive management, customer and government representatives

• Experience with multiple contracting approaches (i.e. Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus, Other Transaction Authorities)

• Experience with the full life cycle of a weapon systems program to include: Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, and Sustainment

• Demonstrated strategic and critical thinking skills

• Experience running Agile programs

• Ability to foster a collaborative environment and work across the enterprise and through roadblocks

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $195,000 - $325,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:
