We are seeking a skilled back-end developer to join our IBM Software team. As part of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software products, working with a variety of technologies and programming languages.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a key member of our dynamic team, you will play a vital role in crafting exceptional software experiences. Your responsibilities will encompass the design and implementation of innovative features, fine-tuning and sustaining existing code for optimal performance, and guaranteeing top-notch quality through rigorous testing and debugging. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, and you'll be working closely with fellow developers, designers, and product managers to ensure our software aligns seamlessly with user expectations.

Db2 Backend developer role with responsibilities spanning from the following areas:

• Core engine C/C++ development on Linux, UNIX, and Windows

• Hybrid cloud environments

• Advanced support (L3)

• Continuous engineering and may include client-specific engagements.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Must have 5+ years of working experience in C/C++ Programming and 5+ years as Back-end Developer or Architect.

• Experience in working directly with customers, stakeholders, product management, driving features into the product, building product roadmap

• Working knowledge of operating System Concepts (serialization, concurrency, multi-threading) and Data Structures (arrays, pointers, hash buckets)

• Experts in various sorting and/or hashing Computer Science Algorithms, excellence in writing and verbal communication skills

• Knowledge of SQL Databases (Db2, Oracle, SQL Server etc) and proficiency in Linux development environments

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience in Agile development

• Experience in UNIX scripting languages - perl, python, shell, etc

• Knowledge of GitHub, Jenkins

• Experience in public conferences.
