The Supervisor, LPN position has primary responsibility for clinical oversight, management of resident care and staff. The supervisor shall be a professionally licensed nurse (LPN) and shall exercise clinical judgment in emergency and routine situations within the constraints of the Nurse Practice Act. The supervisor is responsible for the direction and supervision of the caregivers and nurses and is responsible to the Administrator. Qualifications Graduate of LPN-approved nursing school with active, current Commonwealth of Pennsylvania LPN license required. Minimum of 2 years practical application of professional skills in either med-surg environment or working with frail elderly persons; Working knowledge of common chronic conditions and memory impairments prevalent in the elderly population, as well as commonly prescribed medications/protocols and potential interactions and adverse reactions Effective with group process; demonstrated supervisory skills, leadership, delegations, and evaluation of caregivers Passes competency testing. Understanding of the confidentiality of the work and compliance with the facility policies on confidentiality; Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word and Excel required.
