Overview

Planned Systems International (PSI) is seeking an AFSOC Field Skills Training Logistician/Instructor to join our team at Hurlburt Field. The selected candidate will provide the appropriate management and labor to instruct the courses within the 371 SOCTS tasking portfolio. The Logistician role primarily focuses on logistics support duties, assisting the squadron supply NCO in requisitioning, tracking, and obtaining equipment through the Air Force supply system and external vendors. Instruction in all field skills courses will incorporate fundamentals and principles using the “crawl-walk-run” approach and will incorporate the latest battlefield Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) in accordance with the approved curriculum.

80% of this role will be supporting Logistician duties. The other 20% will be performing Instructor duties.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

  • Obtain and issue supplies and mission-critical equipment to instructors, students, and work centers.

  • Coordinate the issuance of vehicles, communications devices, night vision equipment, and personal protective gear.

  • Ensure stock availability of general supplies and serviceability of equipment for issue.

  • Manage equipment maintenance, repair, and disposal actions, including coordination with the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO).

  • Manage and transport supply items between multiple squadron storage facilities.

  • Conduct regular equipment inventories to meet USAF accountability requirements.

  • Research procurement options for future equipment needs.

  • Manage the inventory system, which includes regular inventories, equipment maintenance by instructors, and replacement orders through purchase requests.

Minimum Requirements

  • Qualified and able to instruct each discipline within the 371 SOCTS training portfolio.

  • Prior experience with the use, maintenance, and operations of military assault rifles and small arms.

  • MilPDS experience desired.

  • Active Secret security clearance.

  • Able to work as a role-player and OPFOR.

  • USAF recognized Instructor training course highly desirable.

  • Possess a regionally accredited associate degree (or higher).

  • Direct, recent (within 6 years) experience conducting special operations or training in military combat tactics.

  • Legally eligible to carry and discharge a firearm IAW the DD 2760

  • Mentally and physically capable to instruct, qualify on, and maintain currency in the Air Force small arms qualification course of fire for handgun and rifle for arming group A as outlined in AFMAN 36-2655.

  • Able to demonstrate individual movement techniques and conduct overland movement ranging from 1- 3Km while carrying minimal 20 lbs. of required safety and personnel protection gear.

  • Physically able to instruct students in field conditions under various climatic conditions.

  • Physically able to assist in the evacuation from field locations using patient evacuation techniques.

  • Physically able to conduct demonstration and performance of combatives techniques IAW the POI.

  • Able to hear audible safety commands and range instructions.

  • Capable of flying on military aircraft and/or traveling under Temporary Duty (TDY) orders to any location specified by the training mission.

  • Presentation and communication skills for training, educating, and developing manuals/procedures.

  • Interpersonal skills for interaction with employees, students, and Government counterparts.

  • Proficiency in personal computer and business software.

  • Analytical, organizational, and management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in conducting Small Unit Tactics, Ground Defensive Tactics, Combatives, Land Navigation, Urban Movement and Tactical Communication preferable as an instructor at a formal school or SOF course.

  • Direct AFSOC deployed mission experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.

  • Paramedic experience.

  • USAF recognized Instructor training course highly desirable.

Additional Information

  • The majority of training will take place on Hurlburt Field, Florida and the surrounding area, within a 100-mile radius.
