Main Accountabilities
• Install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures.
• Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts.
• Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances.
• Align and test equipment, and make any necessary adjustments.
• Perform predictive and operational procedures.
• Repair or replace defective parts.
• Service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Main Qualifications
Primary Skills & Qualifications
• (Red Seal) Certified Industrial Millwright
• 2 years of work experience as an Industrial Millwright in a
mining industry
Secondary Skills & Qualifications
• Exceptional mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Energetic and enthusiastic approach with the ability to work as part of an
interdisciplinary team
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to manage time effectively, while handling multiple jobs with varying priorities
• Experience with Mentoring Apprentices
• Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions and to interpret technical manuals and
specifications as required.
• Language: Speak English, Read English, Write English (Inuktitut would be an asset).
• Previous mining experience is an asset.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work outdoors in all-weather conditions
• Physically fit to perform all aspects of job
