Description An exciting opportunity exists at Barnes for a Quotation Specialist in its Force and Motion Control SBU, Maumee, OH. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, managing, and coordinating quotations for clients. This role requires a meticulous individual with excellent communication and analytical skills to ensure that all quotations are accurate, competitive, and align with company standards. The Quotation Specialist will collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information, analyze costs, and ensure timely delivery of quotations to clients. The Quotation Specialist will also be responsible for the distribution of leads to the sales team. Core Responsibilities: Prepare and generate detailed and accurate quotations based on customer requirements and specifications. Analyze costs, pricing, and market trends to ensure competitive and profitable quotations. Collaborate with the sales, procurement, and technical teams to gather necessary information and insights for quotations. Review and interpret customer requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotations (RFQs), and other documentation to develop comprehensive quotations. Maintain a database of quotation records (Salesforce), including historical data and pricing trends. Ensure all quotations comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements. Monitor and report on quotation success rates and provide feedback to improve processes and strategies. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quotation processes and efficiency. Manage and distribute incoming customer requests to the Sales Team. Allocate quotes that exceed a pre-determined potential to the Sales Team. Acts in accordance with Barnes Group Code of Business Ethics and Conduct. Qualifications: Minimum 1-3 years of experience in an administrative role. Experience in a similar role is desired. Experience in industrial sales is desired. Excellent formal presentation skills before both small and large groups Must demonstrate a high energy level and commitment to setting and achieving goals. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong PC aptitude in a Windows environment required; specifically, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to learn other software packages and maintain an awareness of technology advancements. Familiarity with CRM platform preferably Salesforce Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree is preferred. Combination of education and years of experience acceptable.
