What You Will Do :

Our professionals help our clients in the Federal Chief Financial Officer community transform business processes, enhance the efficiency of operations, improve transparency and performance management, promote change management, and comply with Federal laws and regulations. We empower our clients to identify, evaluate, and solve some of their most complex challenges, and assist them in achieving their strategic goals and objectives to fulfill their mission. The nature of our projects is extremely fluid and requires self-motivated individuals who are willing to develop solutions on their own or in a team of highly skilled professionals. Project members are provided the opportunity to interact with our client’s senior management, as well as the opportunity to enhance their skills around technical competency, business development, client service, and people development. Our team provides specialized experience and knowledge in financial management, process analysis and documentation, data analytics, and automation to support project activities.

This role will support clients within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with opportunities to expand support to other defense and security-related organizations. Specific initiatives and work products that this role supports include:

  • Lead comprehensive training initiatives that provide end users with timely and effective training that will enable them to easily understand and retain the information that is provided, enhance their overall functional and/or technical skillsets, and maintain solutions on their own when feasible.

  • Facilitate the design and delivery of high-quality training materials that can be easily tailored, refined, and adapted to the specific solutions and/or client stakeholders that are involved.

  • Collaborate with team members and client stakeholders to ensure that all associated training materials meet all business and technical requirements of the related process or solution.

  • Conduct research and analysis to better understand the specific client stakeholder groups and the various personalities and systems involved to design more personalized trainings and associated materials.

  • Employ innovative training methodologies such as microlearning and gamification that will enable trainings to be more interactive and facilitate informal support sessions to provide end users with additional resources if desired.

  • Communicate with client stakeholders on a consistent basis to obtain feedback and gain an understanding of areas of strength and areas that will require improvement in order to empower stakeholders to take ownership of trainings.

What You Will Need :

  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

  • 3 years of workforce experience

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Ability to commute to client or corporate offices within the Washington, DC metropolitan area 2-3 days per week.

  • Prior experience organizing and leading training programs/initiatives and developing associated educational materials that have a user-centered focus.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide innovative training approaches that have been able to enhance the levels of engagement and knowledge retained by trainees.

  • Willingness to follow a general training framework while simultaneously being able to adapt when necessary and tailor the trainings and associated material to the specific client needs.

  • Ability to synthesize information quickly and learn new skills, view and assess problems and areas for improvement, produce professional and client-ready presentations and training-related deliverables, and lead client-facing trainings and meetings.

  • Ability to work in teams to produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

  • Planning and leading client meetings and presenting recommendations.

  • Producing a variety of communications from informal email interactions with clients to formal strategic planning documents, user guides, issue papers, presentations, executive briefings, and others.

  • Leading multiple tasks simultaneously.

What Would Be Nice To Have :

  • 6 years of experience

  • Prior experience organizing and leading training initiatives specifically related to low-code and no-code technology platforms, including Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, ServiceNow, Power BI, and Tableau.

  • Basic understanding of workflow, automation, and data-analytics based technology platforms and their general use cases, including Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, ServiceNow, Power BI, Tableau, and Databricks.

  • Understanding and demonstrated willingness to learn Agile project delivery methods, tools, and concepts.

  • General understanding of financial management aspects (i.e., financial operations, financial innovation, internal control, risk management, etc.), particularly in a federal environment.

  • Experience leading small teams of junior-level employees and utilizing project management skills to ensure the timely distribution of high-quality deliverables.
