Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania

Description

Overview:

In this accounts payable clerk position, you will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and maintaining accurate records of accounts payable transactions. You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate payments.

Responsibilities:

  1. Process and code invoices accurately and efficiently.

  2. Verify invoice discrepancies and resolve issues with vendors and internal departments.

  3. Reconcile vendor statements and ensure all payments are up to date.

  4. Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.

  5. Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.

  6. Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

  7. Generate and analyze reports to track payment status and identify potential issues.

  8. Collaborate with procurement and other departments to ensure proper approval and coding of invoices.

  9. Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues.

  10. Follow company policies and procedures related to accounts payable processes.

  11. Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the accounts payable function.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience in data entry, preferably with invoices or purchase orders

  2. Knowledge of accounts payable principles.

  3. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing invoices and payments.
