Harrisburg area company is seeking a staff accountant to join their team. As a staff accountant you will contribute to this mission by ensuring every entry, reconciliation, and project is completed to the highest standards. You will report directly to the Controller or Assistant Controller and work closely with the rest of the Accounting team.

What You’ll Contribute

In this role, you can expect to:

• Participate in closing accounting books monthly (5 business day goal) and prepare applicable journal entries timely and accurately

• Perform general ledger account analysis and prepare monthly account reconciliations

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis

• Compile data and reports to support internal and external reporting

• Assist in business process review to identify process improvements and maintain internal controls

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field

• Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel, and experience preferred with power query, Power BI, and Excel macros

• Superior attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Strong leadership skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Prior experience in the construction industry is a plus!
