Naval Supply Systems Command VISUAL INFORMATION SPECIALIST in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania

Summary You will serve as a Visual Information Specialist in the Assistant Commander for Supply Chain Management Policy and Performace, Naval Sustainment System (NSS)-Supply Division of CNSSC FLD DET MECH PA. Responsibilities You will produce marketing materials including printed materials, exhibits, presentations, and audiovisual media. You will advise management on communications and marketing projects to include technical formatting, styles, and media requirements to meet visual information objectives and recommends best course of action to meet goals. You will design and edit presentations to high level personnel/ You will design and coordinate oral presentation enhancements, special presentations, awards and certificates and other duties involved in coordinating special events. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Visual Information Specialist experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector using a variety of methods, techniques, and materials used in the design, production, and reproduction of visual products to plan the technical details of, or produce, aesthetically composed visual products in order to develop new and fresh approaches to presentations and media products in order to enhance understanding of audiences who may be otherwise indifferent. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1)Producing Marketing materials including printed materials, exhibits, presentations, and audiovisual media for both internal and external Department of Navy audiences. 2)Evaluating information and design challenges encountered in communicating internal initiatives to outside organizations. 3)Designing, Editing and coordinating visual aids for oral presentations given by high level leaders to public audiences. 4)Collaborating with contractors and program officials involved in major events to learn project objectives and provide visual arts technical expertise. Experience must be in the actual type of work for which application is made. Unpaid experience is creditable, provided the work done was of a quality level and demonstrated the ability required for the position being filled. This includes planning the preparation and use of photographs, illustrations, drawings, and other art work, charts, diagrams, dioramas, maps, slides, overlays, and other kinds of visual material for use in communicating information through visual means.
