Citizens Deposit Operations Sr Specialist in Medford, Massachusetts

Description

The Deposit Operations Sr Specialist will provide exceptional service to internal and external customers supporting both our Phone and Processing Teams in the Retirement Services department. The primary responsibility of this role will be processing Individual Retirement Account (IRA) transaction requests and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC).

Primary responsibilities include

  • Providing customer service to bank customers and branch colleagues by responding to phone calls and processing customer requests within service level agreements

  • Learning and understanding IRS regulations as they pertain to IRA products

  • Performing quality assurance/quality control tasks for various transaction types

  • Researching routine customer or bank inquiries as appropriate

  • Utilize knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements to mitigate financial risk to Citizens

  • Performing advanced clerical and operational tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, cross train within the department and assume additional responsibilities as requested by management

  • The position may include reporting responsibilities and may assume department administrative duties as needed

  • Participating in special projects as assigned

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • 1-2 years customer service experience

  • Banking experience and/or IRA knowledge preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, cross train within the department and assume additional responsibilities

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Willingness to work as a team

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Possess the power to embrace change and consistently seek process improvement opportunities

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40

  • Work Schedule: 8:30-5:00 or 8:00-4:30

Work Location and Compensation

  • On site in Medford, MA

  • $25-$26 per hour
