Kuehne + Nagel is looking for a dedicated Contract Logistics Operational Contract Manager to join our growing Contact Logistics Team.

Your Role

Kuehne + Nagel is looking for a dedicated Contract Logistics Operational Contract Manager to join our growing Contact Logistics Team, bringing your leadership expertise and skills to enhance both operational and customer excellence. This position is based in Melbourne's western suburbs.

Your Responsibilities

  • To manage, plan, organize, staff, + direct warehouse activities at the site ensuring that all material + equipment is available/maintained to support your operations

  • To achieve your key performance indicators (KPI) in the areas of cost management, productivity, customer service + profit.

  • To ensure your teams deliver against their customer, site + people key performance indicators (KPI).

  • To assist with all activities relating to customer on-boarding, retention + operational excellence; collaborating at a contract level.

  • To drive productivity via engagement activities to create new initiatives focusing on continuous improvement at all times, ensuring your contract(s) meets or exceeds their productivity targets.

  • To contribute information required for tenders/proposals to support closing of new business.

  • To prepare + present all required customer updates.

  • To prepare required P+L with supporting commentary related to financial / service variances.

  • To train + develop your team to ensure robust succession planning.

  • To liaise with internal support resources + external providers (carriers, freight forwarders, suppliers). #LI-DNI

Your Skills and Experiences

  • A minimum five years' experience in a local transport or 3PL organization.

  • Proven leadership and team management skills.

  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate effectively.

  • Solid understanding of safety processes and protocols.
