Job Description

Activities in Oracle Health Insurance Consulting (OHI) Development or Implementation or Managed Service or Pre-Sales activity streams as an OHI Consulting Technical Architect

Roles & Responsibilities include

  • Lead teams or participate as Technical Architect during initial architecture design and delivery for projects of the OHI / components

  • Participate in Pre-Sales activities on large and complex opportunities

  • Understand the technology landscape from the customer / prospect and collaborate with Technology / Product / other lines of business groups to craft solutions.

  • Lead and grow the Enterprise Architect capability for OHI Consulting

  • Lead and manage teams

  • Mentor junior team members

  • Understand and improve consulting best practices

  • Strive for continuous improvement of Implementation Process & standards

Essential Skills

  • Technical Architecture Consulting experience in Health Insurance Domain and / or similar domain experience

  • Ability to work within a highly competitive and complex environment

  • Perseverant, 'can-do' attitude (i.e., seeking multiple alternatives to 'get the job done' when the initial approach does not succeed)

  • High levels of energy, creativity and enthusiasm with a desire to work with a winning team

  • Problem solver who is curious, passionate about results and highly customer focused.

  • Proven ability to operate in a networked environment (matrix-model, multiple reporting/interaction-lines)

  • Strong communication skills with fluent written and spoken English

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Excellent interpersonal & leadership acumen

  • Development skills with Oracle Application server and database

  • Knowledge of other Oracle applications such as Fusion Financials / Documaker / Workflow / document management / CX etc. will be an advantage

Preferred Skills

  • Domain knowledge of Health Insurance

  • Previous work experience on direct customer exposure and Application implementation work

  • Prior experience of working in remote virtual teams

  • Experience working on large-scale IT implementations / transformation projects involving Middleware integration components.

  • Hands on experience with Oracle SOA Suite 12C, Oracle Service Bus, BPEL and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or similar integration platforms.

  • Experience in designing and developing and / or implementing applications on different cloud platforms (SaaS / PaaS / IaaS).

  • Knowledge and experience in Core Java, J2EE, Groovy, RDBMS/SQL

  • Experience with SOAP and/or REST web services.

  • Experience in XSTL, XQuery, XML, SoapUI

  • Strong Unix skills and experience with UNIX like operating systems such as RH Linux, Oracle Linux etc.

  • Prior knowledge and experience on areas such as Cloud, Deployment, Devops, Automation tooling, System sizing and Performance management etc.

  • Industry Certifications in Architecture

  • Aware of latest technologies and best practices

Responsibilities

Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices. Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements. May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. May act as the team lead on projects, providing coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. Participates in business development activities. Develops and leads detailed solutions for moderately complex projects.
