Job Purpose and Impact

The Shipment Execution Specialist will execute moderately complex operational activities to support the creation of a portfolio of accounts to apply relevant techniques and help the business strategy and growth. In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on transportation sales opportunities, supplier management and delivery in full on time in spec with adherance to CoR.

Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with operations and capacity teams to implement effective solutions, support the interaction with the customers and provide understanding of trends that support the companys value proposition.

  • In consultation with the Freight Coordinators, design and execute export accumulation plan AND/OR carrier for executing certain domestic commodity contract in accordance with the distance covered and the freight rate.

  • Partner with key stakeholders on transportation sales strategies implementation and coordinate, develop and plan execution strategies to enable cheapest cost to serve

  • Establishes strong working relationships with Cargill approved carriers and BHC’s, Port Terminals, rail providers and internal colleagues

  • Assist rail freight coordinator to predict future rail freight requirements based on expected export program

  • Raise and distribute Sales Orders ensuring timely and accurate entry of movement orders in Cargill Information system to ensure orders are closed

  • Provides information about shipment execution with the Freight Audit and Payment employees in order to help them resolve issues regarding payments, invoices, demurrages.

  • Follow up with the execution of the shipments. Monitor the status of loading and freight and perform track and trace activities to confirm status of shipment throughout the shipment execution process.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain, Agriculture or a Business discipline;

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a Transportation or Forwarder role or Supply Chain Management, desirable

  • Open to change and continuous improvement focused with demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and tasks daily

  • Ability to manage conflicting demands from multiple stakeholders, internal and external, to achieve the best outcome for the business overall

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Competent with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, Outlook);

  • Systemic approach to problem solving and decision making

  • Ability to set priorities and organise work, and not lose sight of the bigger picture

Desirable

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

  • Intermediate knowledge of transportation & logistic market and carriers including rail

  • Good understanding of supply chain processes, business functions, focused on cost and budget controls
