Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a meticulous Bookkeeper in the manufacturing industry. The role is based in Melrose Park, Illinois. The position involves managing financial transactions and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately record and track the inflow and outflow of cash within the organization, matching payments received with invoices or accounts receivable.

• Responsible for recording financial transactions in the general ledger using journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Manage payroll, including calculating employee wages, deducting taxes and other withholdings, and ensuring timely payment to employees.

• Handle payroll tax filings and reporting.

• Manage the organization's outstanding bills and invoices, tracking payments owed to suppliers, vendors, and other creditors, and ensuring they are paid on time.

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and categorized.

• Use skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, Bookkeeping, Data Entry, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, Payroll, QuickBooks, bi-Monthly Payroll, Post Journal Entries, and Journal Entries to perform duties effectively.

• Generate financial reports as part of the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. Requirements • Must have proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary

• Knowledge of Bank Reconciliations is a must

• Must have prior experience in Bookkeeping

• Proficiency in Data Entry is required

• Must be competent in using Microsoft Excel

• Month End Close skills are necessary

• Experience in handling Payroll is a must

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is required

• Experience with bi-Monthly Payroll is beneficial

• Ability to Post Journal Entries is necessary

• Prior experience with Journal Entries is required

• Must have a background in the manufacturing industry

• Must have experience in the job function of a Bookkeeper
