Job Summary:

Undertakes intricate tasks related to accurate and prompt data entry support for financial operations processing activities. This involves reviewing lower-level work, inputting client-specific lease data as per client requirements, and meeting heightened workload expectations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Executes data entry and follow-up procedures to assist various accounts receivable and/or accounts payable transactions within established timeframes.

  • Conducts peer reviews of financial operations accounting transactions to ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.

  • Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves escalated issues from lower-level positions across various financial operations functional areas, including vendor invoice processing, 1099 and tax processing, lease administration, and cash receipt applications.

  • Updates relevant trackers and processing manuals for the assigned work portfolio.

  • Participates in process enhancement initiatives within financial operations aimed at streamlining processes and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

  • May provide training to new and existing members of the financial operations team.

  • May contribute to the formulation and implementation of internal policies and procedures related to the financial operations team.

  • Assists in functional area audits by researching and responding to specific requests for remediation.

  • Corresponds with internal/external clients as required to establish new system access and update database information.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience:

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Minimum of two years' experience in administrative or financial operations support. Associate's degree with a concentration in Business or Finance preferred.

Communication Skills:

  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.

Financial Knowledge:

  • Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic to intermediate analytical skills.

Other Skills And Abilities:

  • Intermediate knowledge of computer software and hardware (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite Products). Must work well under pressure with a proactive approach to routine and non-routine occurrences. Advanced organizational skills, attention to detail. Ability to work in multiple accounting software applications.

Hybri - 3 days in office (east Memphis) and 2 days remote
