Position Description

In this exciting role as a Quality Engineer , you will have responsibility for assuring Medtronic’s requirements are met in a fast-paced distribution environment. This role is located at the Memphis, TN distribution center and supports the storage and handling of Medtronic’s extensive product portfolio throughout the global distribution network.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

· Assures compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and associated standards (e.g. 21 CFR 820 & ISO 13485) and policies

· Develops and maintains quality processes and working closely with senior engineers, but not limited to the following:

o Risk Management – utilizing FMEA’s and various risk management processes

o Change Control – provide engineering information for critical changes to work flows

o Equipment and process validation – thermal mapping for freezers or autoclaves

o Product repackaging – new and sustaining product

o Calibration and test – equipment gauges

· Collaborates across multiple functions, operating units, and geographies to assure requirements are met

· Performs first article inspections on repackaged product

· Works with senior engineers on continuous improvement opportunities

· Supports quality culture improvement initiatives

· Participates on enterprise-wide project teams and committees, as assigned

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this position, please ensure your resume reflects the minimum requirements as noted below:

· Bachelor’s degree

· 0 years of experience required

Nice to Have

· Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering preferred

· Validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) experience preferred

· CAPA (Corrective Action/Preventive Action) experience

· Six Sigma/Lean Training, experience preferred

· Recent college graduates preferred

· Operations or Quality experience in a distribution environment

· Skillful in formulating strategies, tactics and action plans to achieve results

· Strong focus on developing an organizational culture that fosters teamwork

· Ability to effectively influence key decision makers

Ability to work well under pressure and maintain positive, enthusiastic attitude
