Healthcare Services Group Line Server (Meridian Area) in Meridian, Mississippi
We are currently seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Line Server to join our team. As a Line Server at Healthcare Service Group, you will play a vital role in providing efficient and compassionate service to residents and patients in our healthcare facilities. Working in collaboration with dietary staff, you will assist in the preparation and serving of meals while ensuring adherence to dietary guidelines and food safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Greet residents and patients with kindness and respect as they approach the serving line, providing a warm and welcoming dining experience.
- Assist in the preparation and assembly of food items, including portioning and plating according to dietary specifications and individual preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the serving area, including replenishing food items, utensils, and condiments as needed.
- Answer resident and patient questions about menu items, ingredients, and dietary restrictions, providing accurate information and accommodating special requests as appropriate.
- Monitor food temperatures and quality throughout service to ensure freshness and compliance with food safety regulations.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and maintain food quality, including labeling and storing leftovers appropriately.
- Collaborate with dietary staff, healthcare professionals, and other team members to ensure resident and patient satisfaction and well-being.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service or food service role preferred, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards, including infection control protocols.
- Basic math skills and ability to operate cash register or point-of-sale system preferred.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Positive attitude and genuine desire to contribute to the well-being of residents and patients in a healthcare setting.
