Description

We're looking for an outstanding Facilities Operations Engineer with expert experience installing, commissioning and troubleshooting custom industrial equipment in a Payload Processing Facility environment. This position will work side by side with Engineering and Production teams to develop creative solutions and take this program from startup, though design validation, into production then maintain equipment to support continuing operations.

Key job responsibilities

•Bring-up and Troubleshooting of equipment

•Maintaining and preventative maintenance activities

•Machine commissioning and trouble-shooting

•Preventative and Breakdown Maintenance operations

•Troubleshooting and Maintaining industrial equipment and machinery in clean room environment

•Installation of custom equipment and commissioning

•Work directly with engineering, production, and launch teams supporting highest standards

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience

  • Ability to pass Kennedy Space Center background checks.

  • Valid Driver’s license and able to satisfy Amazon driver eligibility criteria.

  • Must be willing and able to work with powered lift equipment, i.e. forklifts and aerial lifts at heights > 80’.

  • With or without reasonable accommodations, must be able to lift up to 49 pounds on some occasions, stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with and managing third party vendors

  • Advanced mechanical ability in refrigeration troubleshooting, compressed air troubleshooting, and specialized test equipment troubleshooting experience.

  • Minimum 5 years working in Clean Room environments.

  • Experience installing, connecting, troubleshooting and maintaining industrial electrical systems including knowledge of NEC, NFPA 79, and UL508A.

  • Experience with industrial controls equipment including PCs, PLCs, IP networking, pneumatics, sensors, wiring diagrams, etc.

  • Can read, interpret, and execute electrical schematics and drawings to aide in expedite troubleshooting through repairs.

  • Experience assembling and commissioning custom machinery including compressors, refrigeration systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, process chilled water and LN2 & GN2 systems.

  • Experience setting up and maintaining a workshop in a development and high-speed production environment.

  • Ability to work across teams to develop clear and concise communications in both verbal and written forms.
