Position Summary:

TheStaff Accountantrole is a pivotal role for the accounting department to ensure the accuracy and application of Excel workbooks. In a highly collaborative environment, this role provides financial support to all internal customers, financial applications, and processes payroll.

This role will report directly to the Controller and be responsible for all internal accounting while providing accurate financial reports and advanced Excel workbooks to the Controller and Chief Financial Officer. This role has potential growth for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Complying with all company, local, state, and federal accounting, and financial regulations.

  • Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data in advanced Excel workbooks.

  • Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, advanced Excel workbooks using complicated formulas/tables.

  • Reconciliation, audit and resolving discrepancies for payroll, AP/AR, and other financial documents for accounting department as well as internal customers.

  • Keeping informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.

  • Assisting management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.

  • Reconciles general ledger accounts.

  • Process payroll including timesheet analysis for 250+ employees.

  • Researches and resolves discrepancies in a timely fashion.

  • Maintains confidentiality of all financial data.

  • Compiles and prepares routine reports and summaries.

  • Supports internal customers with questions.

Qualifications

Your Education & Experience:

  • Advanced Excel certifications desired.

  • 5-7 years of relevant accounting/bookkeeping experience.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Excel formulas.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.

  • Understanding of mathematics and accounting and financial processes.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Paycom experience a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.
