The ideal candidate should have an expert understanding of social media strategy, channels, messaging, influencers, management tools, governance, and execution while being highly motivated and have attention to detail. A mindset and ability to collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholders and departments, such as communications, creative, HR, legal and marketing. A willingness to leverage existing processes, but also recommend, build, and implement new processes and best practices will be key to success.

The Enterprise Social Media Governance and Operations Manager reports to the Director, Marketing Operations and is responsible for executing on social governance strategy across Brunswick divisions. This role collaborates with division social media teams to establish and centralize enterprise social media tools and practices including selecting and implementing tools in collaboration with IT. The individual will be responsible for supporting content marketing leadership on best practices cross functionally. Additionally this role is responsible for the development and dissemination of enterprise level social media reporting in collaboration with the divisions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Execute social governance strategy across the enterprise including updating policies, monitoring trends and working cross-functionally to ensure the risk to Brunswick is minimized (i.e. HR, Legal, PR, Creative)

  • Develop and maintain policies, systems, processes, and approval workflows for Social Media to be leveraged across the organization

  • Support division social media teams with planned education and execution of emerging platforms best practices, including organic social, PR, influencer strategy, and brand activation

  • Maintain an enterprise messaging strategy for replying to public reviews and comments

  • Partner with cross functional and channel peers to educate, integrate, and implement new platforms into brand social strategy

  • Develop, implement, and optimize the strategy and execution of an enterprise employee advocacy program for social media.

  • Develop and lead quarterly report out on Social Media performance across all divisions

  • Analyze social data to support strategic and executional recommendations, as well as compiling data for the quarterly enterprise social report.

  • Support educational training for teams across the enterprise, such as LinkedIn training for executives.

  • Build process efficiencies across social media submissions and adjust and manage the social approval process across an array of stakeholders, including senior leadership, legal, PR, HR and more.

  • This role will also support other projects across corporate and division brands, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree concentration in Marketing, Communications, or related course of study

  • 7-10 years of progressive professional experience including experience developing social media strategy and execution plans on behalf of a brand

  • Skilled at working cross functionally with stakeholders from a wide variety of departments, including legal, corporate communications, marketing, design, and social media

  • Experience developing and implementing social media governance and best practices within a large organization

  • Experience with social media enterprise software, particularly influencer and listening tools such as Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Klear, Talkwalker or other comparable tools

  • Experience developing and leading a high performance team

  • Proficient in professional use of social media (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.)

  • Knowledge on social media landscape, functionality, trends, and consumer behavior

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver presentations to varied stakeholder groups ranging from individual contributor to executive level

  • Strong project management and multi-tasking skills

  • Familiarity with MS Office tools, including SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing an influencer management strategy for contracts, vetting, training, execution, and measurement

  • Experience working within a Social Media COE

  • SEO experience
