The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible to support the Indirect Procurement Category – MRO & Services regarding projects, stakeholders and supplier management. She/he will be responsible to scope, baseline and conduct MRO & Services related sourcing activities and projects, to conduct supplier negotiations, to identify and/or consolidate sources of supply, to assess risk, and to participate in other sourcing initiatives as assigned. This role is intended to be a business partner to business unit stakeholders and to maximize company value through supplier management, negotiation, team support, innovation, digitalization and delivery of cost savings.

She/he is accountable for data analytics, market analysis, sourcing, supplier performance management as well as identifying and successfully developing relations with new suppliers. This role negotiates the agreements globally and regionally with key performance objectives to reduce Total Cost of Ownership, cycle time and to improve quality.

Key Responsibilities

o Provide weekly updates of sourcing initiatives and negotiation(s).

o Closely collaborate with stakeholders to define business needs.

o Participate in the business budget review process to identify opportunities and be aligned with the stakeholders/businesses.

o Support and guide stakeholders as a subject matter expert to adopt best practices into their environment.

o Perform spend analysis / cost breakdown to understand the current spend segmentation for assigned sub-categories, obtain in depth knowledge of the supply market, key dynamics, and latest costs drivers within a sub-category.

o Work with all relevant parties in the consolidation and rationalization of the assigned supplier base

o Negotiate pricing & contracts; own the relationship & contract lifecycle.

o Maintain continuous communications with suppliers for business reviews, contract management details and accuracy of information contained in system.

o Prepare requests for quote/proposal packages, ensuring all documentation and specifications are completed prior to release.

o Develop a culture of delivering results and of continuous improvement.

o Independently, and in collaboration with other team members, research and investigate potential suppliers. Evaluate supplier capability, solicit, and analyze RFP/RFQs, negotiate pricing and finalize purchase contracts to achieve best total cost of ownership for Indirect projects.

Job Requirements :

o Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in sourcing/purchasing, or closely related purchasing experience. Exposure to MRO buying is desired.

o BS/BA in Supply Chain Management and Operations Management or related business experience.

o CPSM or CPM. certification a plus.

o Six Sigma Green Belt desirable.

o Superior data analytics and problem-solving skills.

o Advanced working knowledge of Office suite products especially Excel; Power Bi is desired.

o Experience with an ERP system; Oracle is preferred.

o High sense of accuracy, accountability, and collaboration.

o Excellent negotiation and conflict management skills.

o Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication.

o Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
