Your New Role…

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a detail-oriented US Senior Payroll Analyst to join the Global Business Services People and Culture Shared Services Payroll Department. In this role, you will process payroll for US employees, conduct thorough audits, and implement best practices in payroll processes. Your expertise will be crucial in time card entry, processing hours to gross and gross to net, and meticulous auditing of payroll results. As a proactive team member, you will identify , track, and resolve issues, escalating unresolved matters to senior management when necessary. We require someone with substantial experience in high-volume, multi-state payroll, including knowledge of regulatory compliance for US and expatriate employees, as well as processing payroll for unions and familiarity with collective bargaining agreements and union pension health and welfare plans. Your responsibilities will extend to timely processing of pay inputs, addressing payroll inquiries, supporting internal audits, and participating in special projects as needed. Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Conduct payroll activities, analyze , and interpret pay rules utilizing Workbrain Online Time and Attendance (OTA), Workday Time Tracking, Workday Payroll and ServiceNow Case. Pay Calculations.

  • Entering, reviewing, and auditing timecard data, pay inputs, and pay results.

  • Adjusting time entries, pay inputs, or payroll costing allocations.

  • Processing special pay requests for relocation, severance, leave of absence, and paid time off.

  • Calculating additional payroll-related items, including garnishments, adjustments, pension, etc.

  • Initiating pay runs, monitor , and audit payrolls.

  • Calculating and entering retroactive pay changes.

  • Exporting data from OTA for processing in Workday Payroll.

  • Research payroll inconsistencies and irregularities to determine root cause and provide resolution.

  • Work with cross functional counterparts to understand and resolve issues.

  • Provide excellent customer service in researching and responding to payroll related inquiries from employees, agencies, and other internal/external parties.

  • Mass loading payroll data using Workday Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB). Create and troubleshoot new EIBs.

  • Assisting Payroll Reconciliation and Pension Teams to analyze and resolve payroll accounting and pension discrepancies.

  • Trace payroll transactions to the SAP financial system general ledger(s).

  • Performing data analysis by running reports, and using Excel functionality ( vlookups , index match, pivot tables).

  • Support leadership with other projects and tasks as required .

Qualifications & Experience…

  • Experience in US payroll operations , managing sensitive and confidential information is required (+7 years). Experience in a shared service, large multi-business unit organization is a plus.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business , Accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent combination of work experience required . CPP or FPC certification preferred.

  • Language Requirements: Must be bilingual. Spanish / English speaking.

  • Technical Skills: E xperience with Workday HR/payroll or other SaaS payroll tools required (SAP or PeopleSoft) with payroll integration and mass data loads (EIB) preferred . Advanced knowledge of Microsoft required , particularly with MS Excel.

  • Process Management: Understanding of US federal and state regulations related to salaries, wages, taxes, benefits, and other payroll related matters required . Skilled in process management, improvements, and re-engineering.

  • Union Requirements: Understanding of Motion Picture collective bargaining agreements and union pension health and welfare preferred .
