Aston Carter Financial Reporting Accountant in Miami, Florida

Description:

SUMMARY: The Financial Reporting & Corporate Accountant will be responsible for preparing and recording journal entries to

general ledger accounts, reconciling accounts to the general ledger and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements,

and other financial reports. Will participate in the preparation of quarterly SEC financial statements and disclosures.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare and maintain journal entries and supporting documentation.

• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis, investigating discrepancies and

communicating issue timely.

• Assist with monthly accounting close process.

• Support the external financial reporting process, including preparation and update of reports and supporting

schedules.

• Assist in the preparation and compilation of ad-hoc management reporting and transactional research

• Compile and coordinate supporting documentation for information requests from external and internal auditors

• Work effectively with Corporate and segment teams

• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant field with at least 4 years of experience in such field

• Understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP

• Excellent use of Microsoft Office Excel and Word

• Analytical reporting and review skills

• Experience with Oracle FCCS (or similar consolidation tool) and Deltek Costpoint

• Public accounting experience with Big-4 firm or similar

• Certified Public Accountant

• Experience with Wdesk
