WSP USA Lead Consultant, Project Controls in Miami, Florida

This Opportunity

WSP is seeking a Lead Consultant, Project Controls to join their team.

Your Impact

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create, implement and execute project controls plans and project management plans to support contract requirements and the successful execution of project controls supporting project and WSP commercial interests.

  • Support the Project Controls team with all matters relating to the scheduling, cost control, document control, change management and scope/change control.

  • Develop and prepare project control reports with corrective action plans when required.

  • Assist in the development of project controls dashboards and reporting methods using PowerBI, PowerApps and Power Automate.

  • Develop and maintain a Project Earned Value Management System (EVMS) database, to measure progress and calculate performance metrics, analyze and report variances to plan based on predetermined variance thresholds.

  • Maintain existing reports and applications and coordinate with projects teams to develop solutions to deviations from baseline.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline desired, but not required with applicable experience

  • Project Management, schedule or cost management training or certification through Project Management Institute (PMI) or American Association of Cost Engineers (AACE) or other relevant industry organizations.

  • Experience in transportation and transit industry.

  • 7-10 years’ experience in Project Controls, Engineering or Project Management.

  • Experience in establishing project control systems and procedures and developing project reports and documentation

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Confident self-starter with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment.

  • Attention to detail and organization while working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and produce project deliverables.

  • Ability to build and sustain relationships with team members, contractors, and clients.

  • Skilled at building and sustaining relationships with all stakeholders.

  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to prioritize workload and deliverables.

  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerBI, PowerApps, Power Automate and Excel.
