Description We are in need of an Accounts Payable Specialist in Midland, Texas. This role involves entering payables data into specialized accounting software, setting up payment schedules, and reconciling payables bank account monthly. It's a contract to hire employment opportunity that offers a diverse range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the entry of payables data into specialized fuel accounting software

• Set up and manage payment schedules for vendors

• Conduct monthly reconciliation of the Payables Bank Account

• Perform General Ledger Entries and Transfers

• Handle the entry of Fuel Invoices

• Ensure the accuracy of the owner's financial data and its alignment with the corporate schedule

• Manage New Mexico and Texas Tax Payables

• Handle year-end General Ledger adjustments

• Coordinate with CPA

• Apply skills in Account Coding and Accounts Payable (AP) effectively. Requirements • Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role

• Proficiency in Account Coding and Accounts Payable (AP) procedures

• Strong knowledge of financial software and MS Office (especially MS Excel)

• Excellent ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

• Outstanding numerical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions independently

• Commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy in work

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
