Testing Required: On-Site Role: Must be available to work on-site at this assigned work location. Emergency Response: Yes - Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE's emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.

Job Summary

Functions as a technical specialist in the installation, operation, calibration and maintenance of station automation, gas measurement, communication and control systems used in the transportation of natural gas. Works directly with Gas Control operations and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) support staff in ensuring equipment availability to properly monitor and control gas measurement and control systems.

Key Accountabilities

*Inspects and calibrates gas measurement and control equipment to ensure government, industry and enterprise standards are met. *Works with engineering on implementation of major improvements and new construction projects. *Monitors, calibrates and tests integrated systems performance; analyzes results to the primary component level and initiates corrective action. *Maintains communication hardware (Satellite, Radio Ethernet) linking field monitoring equipment to host control systems. *Installs and operates gas quality monitoring equipment. *Ensures automation and remote field device software and hardware components are operating and maintained to industry and enterprise standards.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

This is a multi-track requirement job; education and experience requirements can be satisfied through one of the following options: *High School Diploma and four years of experience in repair and maintenance of control, communications systems or measurement systems used in transportation of natural gas *Associates degree and two years of experience in repair and maintenance of control, communications systems or measurement systems used in transportation of natural gas; OR *Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related technical field

*Valid driver's license, must meet Company driving standard of less than 6 points.

Other Qualifications

Preferred *Programmable logic controller (PLC) programming experience Other Requirements *Experience with spreadsheets, databases and word processing software. *Security screening and random drug testing is required for employment. *Ability to carry test equipment that may weigh up to 50 pounds in remote field locations. *Qualify under Department of Transportation Operator Qualification Program for related tasks. *Ability to respond to after hour emergencies and on call responses.
