MFR Associates PLLC Workplace Investigator in Mill Creek, Washington

The workplace investigator will be responsible for planning, organizing, investigating and drafting reports related to complaints of workplace misconduct, including allegations of harassment, discrimination, bullying, retaliation, and other policy violations, for non-profit, education, public, and private entities.

The chosen candidate will:

  • Have an HR, employment law, or other relevant background
  • Have expertise in intakes, investigations, report drafting; be compassionate, impartial fact-finder, detailed, good listener, and have excellent writing skills
  • Be open to a high level of collaboration in the production of the firm's work
  • Possess strong time and project management skills
  • Have the demonstrated ability to work independently with moderate latitude for initiative and independent judgment

The hiring process will include:

  • Submission of a writing sample before the interview
  • Draft an investigation report as part of the interview process
  • A background and credit check prior to being employed

Education and Experience required:

  • Four-year undergraduate degree in HR/legal studies/journalism/audit or equivalent years of relevant experience and five years of workplace investigation experience -- can be internal and/or external
  • Intermediate proficiency level in SharePoint and Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Preferred qualifications: AWI certificate holder, SHRM credential holder

This is an independent contractor position -- target compensation is $85K-120K, depending on experience, productivity, and hours worked.
