THE OPPORTUNITY
Location: Milton Keynes office
The Senior Market Research Analyst is responsible for gathering and analyzing market data, maintaining assigned databases, and preparing presentations. Additionally, the Analyst is responsible for interacting with clients and other companies to gather data, responding to customer inquires, and communicating updated content. TechInsights is looking for a qualified and motivated individual with a strong database and market research background to join our Wearable Device Ecosystem (WDE) team as a Senior Analyst primarily focused on the wearables industry. Our wearables coverage spans across wrist-worn devices such as smartwatches and fitness bands, head-worn devices such as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and Bluetooth headsets/TWS earbuds, and others (such as jewelry, clothing, and shoes).
Senior Market Research Analysts will contribute towards the corporate goal of achieving 100K active users on the TechInsights Platform by driving usage of our research.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Research company activity, market drivers and technology developments around wearables industry and ecosystem, to gain a deep understanding for current and emerging industry trends. This will include analysis at a hardware, software, supply side, and demand side across the entire industry and ecosystem / value chain.
Conduct primary and secondary research and consolidate data from multiple sources.
Research, write and publish reports on wearable market trends on a timely basis.
Work with complex weekly or quarterly datasets supporting the creation and delivery of tracking and forecasting databases and reports
Maintain close relationships with key device manufacturers, semiconductor, display, and connectivity vendors
Work with sales team to develop prospects and maintain and develop client relationships in calls, meetings and at major industry events
Client Inquiry support - prioritize and respond to customer requests.
Support global / regional and country level forecasts and analysis by providing detailed insight into market trends
Perform analysis as needed
Build and update models at the direction of more senior analysts
Research and collect data about wearable markets by utilizing in-house custom surveys, searching the internet, reviewing public company earnings, participating in analyst days, reading press releases, and many other sources including summits, events, and email
Analyze financial statements of companies in wearable, mobile device and related industries
Maintain and update customized databases to cater key clients needs Collaborate with other analysts and IT to effectively manage and communicate results to customers

WHO ARE YOU
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (business, engineering or journalism).
3-5 years of technology industry or market research experience
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Polished business writing skills and an ability to communicate complex concepts simply and succinctly.
Strong intellectual curiosity: ability to quickly locate and retrieve data and summarize salient points from different information sources.
Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment; and to work independently as well as part of a diverse global team.
Understand the key business drivers and research needs of companies in the semiconductor value chain, and deliver research appropriately.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
Strong Excel and forecasting skills with strong attention to detail
Effective communication, organization, and time-management skills
